Description

This particular trip seems a little odd to me thinking back.  I don't remember the climb much at all and don't really know why I would have done it as it seems a bit random.  I did a snow climb of the Emperor Couloir.  I'm pretty sure there were some skiers going up the same time I did.  I mistakenly followed their boot pack and ended up on the ridge a several hundred feet below the summit.  I then had to scramble to the summit along the ridge.  I should have worked my way farther left to top out opposite of the Dead Dog Couloir right below the summit of Torreys Peak.  I think I was forcing a trip and trying to get back into hiking when my heart still wasn't in it.
