Description

After climbing Dexter Creek Slabs earlier in the morning, we drove to the Comfort Inn parking lot to see Matt excited to climb some ice.  I jumped into Matt's Jeep with him and we headed up to the ice park.  We set up a top rope in the Alcove and each made two laps on the route.  I was surprised at what the ice park and canyon looked like this year.  A sign indicated that New Funtier had water at the base and many other climbing areas had much more water running through them than I had ever seen before.  I also thought the ice in many areas was relatively thin and weak compared to other years I had been to the ice park.  Brian and Kevin showed up and took a run on our top rope.  Matt climbed out and then brought me up at which point we called it a day.  We retired to the hotel where we jumped in the hot tub and had a couple of beers.  We ate at Buen Tiempo's and had a night cap at the Outlaw.
