Description

The Hanging Lake Trailhead is off of I-70 in Glenwood Canyon east of Glenwood Springs, Colorado.  The trail runs along Dead Horse Creek to Spouting Rock and Hanging Lake.  I was working in the area for the week and completed this hike.  Monday night I rented a road bike and cycled up and down Glenwood Canyon.  The paved trail is 16.2 miles one way and runs along and underneath the interstate.  It was a fun ride and the first time I had ever been on a road bike.  Tuesday night I hiked to Hanging Lake.  I hadn't been there since 2006 and remember it being a great hike to a beautiful lake and waterfalls.  Ed joined me for the trip this evening after work.
