Description

My wife and spent a few nights in Wengen, Switzerland, and on this day we rode the Wengernalp Railway from Wengen to Klein Scheidegg and then the Jungfrau Railway from Klein Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch.  We enjoyed the sites and activities at the highest railway station in Europe.  We went early to avoid the crowds, but it was still fairly busy.  Once we returned to Klein Scheidegg we decided to hike to the Mannlichen gondola on the Panoramic Trail which offered great views of the Eiger, Monch, and Jungfrau.  We even witnessed some moderate rock fall on the north face of the Eiger.

Rebecca went to the shop for a quick soda while I scampered up the trail to the top of Mannlichen.  It was a quick hike, but it was to a named peak and had additional great views of the surrounding area.  After I returned to the lift, we rode it back down to Wengen where we had a dinner of raclette and goulash.
