Description
I had initially wanted to go to a bigger climb with Kennedy, but after the huge storm that came through Denver, Colorado, over the past week, I just wasn't sure if it was wise to drive up into the mountains. As a result, we went back to Coors Lite, but with full intention of going up to the second pitch as I remembered it being better that the short three steps on pitch one.
There was one party of two top-roping the first pitch, so we cruised up pitch one past them and then scrambled up to pitch two. We had the ice to ourselves all afternoon. It was in different shape than I remember from other times; however, it was still a fun, steep, short piece of ice. I got several leads in and Kennedy just continues to work on technique and try and get more mileage in. Kennedy got to rappel for her first time too.
