Description

I was working in Estes Park, Colorado, and went for a nice evening hike with Nick and Nick in Lumpy Ridge.  The Three Gemstones sit on the east end of Lumpy Ridge to the north of Estes Park, Colorado.  Gem Lake is between the Middle and East Gemstone, while the West Gemstone is actually the tallest.  The hike is on a trail all the way to Gem Lake and then we did some scrambling to get to the summit of Middle Gemstone.  We didn't have time to scramble to the other small summits since we had to be back in town for trivia night at Rock Cut Brewing Company.  The trail was pretty snowy and slippery the entire time.
