Description

Super Bowl Sunday is usually a good day to head to the mountains since most people are preoccupied with the game.  It was a fairly good day for us until a class of seven showed up to monopolize the ice.  We got to Vail, Colorado, relatively early and quickly made our way up to Firehouse Falls.  It was fairly cold, but we each led the West Slab in Firehouse West which was either really wet, or brittle.  After this, we went over to Firehouse East and each got a lead in on the right side of the area.  The ice was extremely brittle over here, so we went back to the west side.  By this time the class had shown up and were in the process of dropping a top rope on every available line.  We were able to get another lead up the West Slab before giving up on the day and just heading home.
