Description

I don't do a lot of rock climbing, but Jeff took me up to Boulder Canyon to check out The Watermark and the First Tier of Avalon.  This area is all sport climbing.  I even got on the sharp end of the rope and led a few of the easier pitches we climbed.  Jeff's a better climber than me and was my rope gun for the harder pitches we climbed.  We started at The Watermark where we warmed up by both of us leading Road to Isengard (5.8) and The Memory of Trees (5.9).  After this we moved over to the First Tier of Avalon and climbed Iron Maiden (5.9), Sword in the Stone (5.9+), Slayer (5.10b), and Marquis de Sade (5.10c).  Iron Maiden was the only one I lead; otherwise, Jeff lead them all.
