Description

The three of us decided to check out Jaws Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park.  After a relatively late start to the day, we didn't get to the climb until 10:30.  Fortunately there was only one other party there who were climbing on the right side of the flow.  The approach was similar to Hidden Falls.  It was probably a mile hike in with nominal elevation gain and then a little scrambling to get to the ice which is fairly obvious on your right.  The upper section of Jaws looked relatively thin.  After getting to the base of the climb, we geared up and I led up to the cave behind the center pillar.  I traversed right and set up an anchor which I lowered off of.  We each took turns running laps before heading out later in the afternoon.  The difficulty never exceeded WI3 since we stayed on the lower section of the ice.
