Description

The final hike of my season was similar to the previous two, not terribly exciting, but always worth it.  I was heading out of town for a few weeks, so I took the first weekend in November to take in this short hike and bid the hiking season farewell.  Chuck came along to Rattlesnake Point which is located north of Crouch, Idaho, approximately 25 miles.  On these last two hikes, both Chuck and I wore a lot of blaze orange as hunting season was in full swing.  We ran into a few hunters on our way to the point where we enjoyed our ceremonial lunch and conversation.  Unfortunately, I can't say there were a whole lot of excellent views on this trail.  The highlight of the hike had to be on the way home when we stopped off at a hot springs and took a quick dip.  I have to say that crossing the river to get the hot springs wasn't nearly as enjoyable, but it was the price we had to pay to relax in the hot water.
