Description

Trout Creek is located approximately 15 miles east of Sandpoint, Idaho on Highway 200.  The trailhead is 7.8 miles up Trout Creek Road on the right.  I don't have a whole lot to say about this particular hike.  It didn't have much to offer in terms of views or scenery.  It was a fairly steep hike following a creek up the draw.  It had several switchbacks until the last quarter mile where it seemed to take off straight up the side of the mountain.  There were several trees down across the path which led me to believe that it doesn't get a whole lot of use.  I saw a cow and two calve moose on the way to the trailhead in the Pack River Flats.
