Round Lake State Park is located approximately 15 miles south of Sandpoint, Idaho, just off of Highway 95. It is a highly used lake in both the summer and winter time, but no motorized boats are allowed. Rebecca, Taylor, Payton, and I had to take advantage of the great weather we had been having as of late, so we decided to stroll around Round Lake. The trail circles around the outside of the lake with no elevation gain. There are a couple of locations where one could stop and have a picnic, enjoy the views, or throw a line in the water. There is also a small footbridge to cross on the west side of the lake where a stream flows to the Pend Oreille River.
